Our Mission

Beyond the 12 exists because Jesus didn't tell His disciples to sit — He told them to go.

"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." — Mark 16:15

The original twelve went to the ends of the earth. BT12 exists to carry that same mission into every hard place, every barracks room, every fire station, every living room where someone is barely holding on.

Mission statement

"To take the Gospel beyond the walls of the church — equipping believers, serving veterans and first responders, and speaking the truth of Jesus Christ into the hardest corners of real life."

  • Straight truth from Scripture.

Jesus & a Cup of Joe is BT12's flagship outreach — a weekly conversation that meets you where you are and takes you where God wants you to go. No theological jargon. No watered-down messages. Just Royce, his Bible, and whatever God put on his heart that week. Available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeart, and everywhere you listen.

  • From weekly Substack devotionals to field notes from the front lines of ministry, BT12 produces written content built for people who are tired of hollow church talk. The Morning Briefing, Field Notes, and Command Debrief are devotional series written for believers who need their faith to hold up under pressure — because real life doesn't wait for Sunday.

  • Veterans and first responders carry weight the civilian world doesn't always understand. BT12 is a ministry that gets it — because the man behind the microphone has worn the uniform and carried the hose. This ministry exists as a place where service members, veterans, and first responders can find community, Scripture, and a reminder that their sacrifice was not forgotten by God.

  • 22 veterans a day. That number is not a statistic to us — it is a mission. BT12 stands against veteran suicide with the same conviction it stands for the Gospel. If you or someone you know is in crisis, help is available right now: Veterans Crisis Line — Call or text 988, then press 1. BT12 will keep talking about this until the number changes.

This is the mission. If it resonates — if you've been looking for a ministry that doesn't flinch — you're home.
